General Manager of F&G Botswana Attended the Forum of Overseas Chinese in Botswana for Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China

On the occasion of the centenary birthday of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Mr. ZHU Huawen, General Manager of F&G Botswana, attended the Cloud Forum of Overseas Chinese in Botswana on June 15, 2021. The Forum was themed by “All Hearts of Overseas Chinese Turn to the CPC for Writing a New Chapter Together” and jointly held by Botswana China Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification and Botswana overseas Chinese circle. Mr. ZHU also made a speech at the Forum on behalf of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Francistown where F&G Botswana is located.

In his speech, Mr. ZHU reviewed the great historical process in which the CPC united and led the Chinese people to shake off backwardness and poverty, stand up, become rich and become strong, and told the story how F&G Botswana stayed true to their original aspiration, kept their mission firmly in mind, practiced the guiding ideology of the CPC, and worked together with local people and colleagues from overseas Chinese communities in Botswana to fight the COVID-19, support the development of the motherland, and promote the economic construction and cultural exchanges between the two countries. He specially mentioned how to seize the opportunity to develop new business models and growth points under the “Belt and Road” agreement signed by Botswana earlier this year. Mr. ZHU also said in his speech that we must take practical actions to create outstanding results as the gratitude to our motherland and the tribute to the CPC’s centennial birthday.
Ambassador WANG Xuefeng of the Chinese Embassy in Botswana made a concluding speech at the Forum, in which he fully recognized the important role played by overseas Chinese in Botswana in supporting the development of the motherland, promoting its peaceful reunification, supporting and cooperating with the motherland in fighting the COVID-19, promoting friendly exchanges and cooperation between China and Botswana, and building a harmonious community of overseas Chinese, and encouraged overseas Chinese in Botswana to stand on the new starting point of the century-old history of the CPC, unswervingly listen to and follow the CPC, and make contributions to the realization of the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation.
