Safeguarding the Industrial Park for Safety | Guangzhou Owada Carried out the “Work Safety Month” Training and Publicity Activities

This June marks the 22nd national “Work Safety Month”, which takes “Nationwide Safety Publicity and Emergency Management” as the theme. In order to ensure the orderly progress of fire and work safety in the industrial park, Guangzhou Owada took the “Work Safety Month” as an opportunity to carry out a series of publicity activities such as fire safety training and operation drill in the industrial park.

I． Safety Training and Operation at the Fire Control Room:

The Fire Control Room is the heart of the building fire control facilities in the industrial park, the central core of the daily fire management of the Company, and the emergency rescue center for firefighting and rescue. In order to strengthen the daily management of the Fire Control Room, Ms. XU Yanmei, a Registered Safety Engineer and Head of Fire Safety Management of Guangzhou Owada, conducted a special training for the company’s full-time and part-time fire safety management personnel and operators. The training covered theory teaching and practical operation teaching. Ms. XU explained the contents in detail, involving the fire laws and regulations, the daily fire inspection and patrol, the supervision and rectification of fire hazards, the management and emergency procedures of key parts of the industrial park, and the basic operation skills of firefighting facilities.

After the theory teaching, the trainees strengthened their study through the examination paper and on-site operation one by one, which made them firmly master the fire laws and regulations, clarify their own fire safety responsibilities, do well in the management and understand the operation, and strengthen the mastery and use of fire safety knowledge.

II. Other Safety Training and Special Inspection:

In order to implement the safety inspection work, the Company timely sorted out and improved the safety inspection requirements according to the new policies to ensure the compliance. In particular, according to the Standards for Determining the Potential Risks of Major Accidents of Industry and Trade Enterprises that took effect on May 15, 2023, the Company carried out a special safety inspection training, which detailed the contents of each safety inspection, so as to “check for hidden dangers, remove the faults, understand safety, and do well in safety inspection”.

In the Work Safety Month, the Company also carried out various safety training and special inspections in the industrial park covering electricity safety, electric vehicle charging safety, gas safety, fire-fighting facilities safety, large facilities and equipment safety, dormitory safety, and special safety of controlled tools and dangerous goods in the park.

In order to create a good atmosphere for nationwide participation in firefighting and safety study, the Company vigorously promoted the Work Safety Month through posters in the bulletin board of the Company’s canteen and the staff’s WeChat groups, and released publicity materials to fully popularize the fire safety knowledge to employees in the industrial park and enhance their safety awareness.

Through a series of “Work Safety Month” themed study and publicity activities, Guangzhou Owada has created a work safety atmosphere of “Nationwide Safety Publicity and Emergency Management” in the industrial park, improved the management level and emergency disposal and operation ability of the safety management personnel, and strengthened the fire and work safety responsibility system at all levels, thus to further promote the fire safety management and operation personnel to fulfill the responsibilities of “taking responsibility, paying attention to safety, being good at management, well knowing the operation, safeguarding the industrial park, and maintaining safe development”.
