Role Model| Sweetening Technology Department of H&K Flavor Technology Center won “Workers’ Pioneer (Demonstration Post) of Jiading District in 2022”

Labor creates value and role model demonstrates strength. The Sweetening Technology Department of H&K Flavor Technology Center won the honorable title of “Workers’ Pioneer (Demonstration Post) of Jiading District in 2022” in the “2022 Annual Workers’ Pioneer (Demonstration Post)” selection conducted by Jiading Federation of Trade Unions thanks to the joint efforts and continuous innovation of staff, and through rounds of recommendation and selection. Winners of this honor are selected from designated outstanding Workers’ Pioneer teams and departments over the years. This honor is a further recognition and encouragement from the Jiading Federation of Trade Unions for the Sweetening Technology Department of H&K Flavor Technology Center after it was awarded “Workers’ Pioneer (Demonstration Post) of Jiading District in 2021, which also reflects this team’s vision of staying true to its original aspiration and making new achievements.

Due to united efforts and continuous improvements in their jobs, the 11-member team of the Sweetening Technology Department has made a wide range of impressive achievements in the R&D work, and has been honored with the “Excellent Team” by the industry association, the Group and Huabao Flavours & Fragrances Co.，Ltd. (“Huabao”) many times. In 2022, this team was awarded the title of “Workers’ Pioneer of Jiading District in 2022”. The “Fragrant Walnut Oil Microcapsules Development” project carried out by the team members won the bronze award for excellent innovation in the 33^th Shanghai Excellent Invention Competition. In daily innovation and R&D work, this team adopts normative and scientific methods in respect of personnel, equipment, information, funds, logistics support, management and other supporting physical and virtual options. Thus, their achievements in scientific research continue to emerge, and the team publishes a batch of high-tech achievements and industrializes a batch of high-tech achievements every year, making contributions to improving the commercialization rate of scientific and technological innovation achievements of Shanghai H&K Flavours & Fragrances Co., Ltd. (“Company”). Furthermore, they carry out and implement the Company’s ESG management philosophy, and pay special attention to energy saving and emission reduction in experiments, demonstrating the Company’s social responsibility and environmental protection consciousness.

This honor won by the team is relevant to the efforts of every member. Two of the team members have been awarded “Contemporary Craftsman” in Jiading Industrial Zone, while six of them are qualified as senior food additives engineer, and three of them are qualified as patent worker. They are passionate in their jobs, study and work hard, and give full play to the exemplary role of excellent employees. In addition to daily work, the team members also attach great importance to enhancing their own quality and strengthening professional competence. They not only actively participate in various training sessions organized by the Company, but also learn professional knowledge and share experience regularly.

The Sweetening Technology Department of H&K Flavor Technology Center always regards team building as the main direction, pays attention to the coordination and cooperation among team members, and gives full play to the working initiative of all team members, thus improving the integration force, and ensuring the effective implementation of all work.
