Huabao Contributed Money to Yula Village of Zhaba Township in Tibet for Poverty Alleviation

On December 10, 2020, the donation ceremony of Huabao Flavours & Fragrances Co., Ltd. (“Huabao” or the “Company”) to support poverty alleviation in Yula Village of Zhaba Township, Rinbung County, Shigatse, Tibet was held at the conference room of the CPC United Front Work Department of the Tibet Autonomous Region. This ceremony was attended by YU Yungui, Executive Vice Minister of the CPC United Front Work Department of Tibet Autonomous Region and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Religious Affairs Bureau of Tibet Autonomous Region, ZHANG Yonggang, Director of Tibet Office of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, as well as other leaders. Mr. YANG Cheng, Assistant to President of Huabao and General Manager of Lhasa Huabao, on behalf of the Company, attended the donation ceremony and donated RMB 300,000 to Yula Village.

The donation of RMB 300,000 will mainly be used to build the wall of the Party and Masses Activity Center of Yula Village. In Yula Village, there are 189 households with 813 persons, and there are 38 registered poor households with 206 persons. Due to the harsh natural conditions, the village is extremely poor and backward. When Huabao learned that Yula Village hadn’t built the wall of the Party and Masses Activity Center due to the lack of funds, it contacted YU Yungui, Executive Vice Minister of the CPC United Front Work Department of Tibet Autonomous Region, to ask for making donations. Building the wall will greatly improve the conditions for village-level organizations to handle official business, carry out party and mass activities and provide handy services for the people.

Since its relocation to Tibet in 2016, Huabao has been paying close attention to poverty alleviation and beautiful rural construction in Tibet. In July 2017, Huabao donated school bags, stationery and books to all primary school students in Qushui County of Lhasa to facilitate poverty alleviation in education. In July 2018, Huabao donated RMB 370,000 to build a Huabao dairy farming base in Gupa Village of Nagqu, to help local herdsmen get rid of poverty and get rich. It is learned that Gupa Village has been lifted out of poverty by the end of 2019. In December 2019, Huabao donated RMB 200,000 of poverty alleviation funds to the village resident team of the General Office of the Party Committee of the Tibet Autonomous Region to facilitate the poverty alleviation and rural revitalization. In January 2020, Huabao donated RMB 100,000 to facilitate the poverty alleviation in Dejikangsa Community in Lhasa.

It is the precious DNA of the corporate culture to actively practice social responsibility and fulfil social obligations. On the road of targeted poverty alleviation, Huabao has always adjusted measures according to local conditions and adhered to scientific and reasonable poverty alleviation: to offer timely support and make things even better; to provide people with fish and teach them how to fish; to combine blood transfusion style of poverty alleviation with hematopoiesis style of poverty alleviation.
